The test is limited to a total entry of 30 each day. Space will be reserved for 25 WD/WRD entries and 5 WRDX entries. A minimum entry of 2 WRDX dogs will be required in order for that level to be held. A Tadpole test will be held on Saturday. The site is a 140-foot beach adjacent to the public swimming beach. The parks department has permitted us exclusive use of this area of the beach and will allow us to erect temporary fencing. The beach itself is mostly compacted sand and mud and has a rather quick bank into the water. Swimming distance for the dogs is consistently less than 10 feet from shore. The water at Deep Lake is very clean. The lake is off limits to motorized watercrafts and is generally only occupied by the occasional fisherman. Nolte State Park has a “No Off Leash Dogs Allowed” policy, but has graciously allowed the Newfoundland Club of Seattle to conduct the NCA Water Test. All dogs not currently being tested must be securely crated or on lead and under control.
